Wandle Trust charity Christmas cards 2011: buy yours here!

Yes, it’s that time of year again…

Our charity Christmas card design for 2011: Hackbridge in the snow

… when we announce the design of this season’s new Wandle Trust charity Christmas cards, and encourage all our friends and supporters to send as many as they can to their own friends and relations!

This year’s A5-sized cards show Hackbridge in the snow… with a tag of strategically-placed graffiti as a festive greeting.

Printed locally on FSC-certified paper, the cards are A5 landscape in format, and are available in packs of 8 cards for £10. All profits will go directly to help the vital work of the Wandle Trust.

Support the Wandle Trust: shop at Waitrose in Wandsworth this month!

For the whole of December, the Wandle Trust is one of three recipients of the Wandsworth Waitrose monthly Community Matters initiative (together with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre and the Polka Theatre):

Since its launch in 2008, Waitrose’s Community Matters initiative has donated over £3 million to a wide range of charities and community groups.

This unique scheme gives each branch £1,000 to share out between three local good causes each month – such as welfare organisations, community groups, schools or local divisions of national charities.

Customers vote for their preferred cause using a green token each time they shop and the money each cause is given is directly proportional to the tokens they receive.

So please, if you’re going Christmas shopping, visit Waitrose in the Southside Centre and give our share a much-needed boost.  There is no minimum spend to get a token, and you may even be given more than one!

Thank you so much for your support!

Spell out your season’s greetings with the Wandle Trust’s charity Christmas cards!

Christmas is coming again – and what better way to remind all your friends and family of our favourite South London river than by sending them a special Wandle Trust charity Christmas card?

This year’s design has been exclusively created for us by super-talented local artist and Wandle Trust Trustee Jane Porter

The shape of each festive letter comes from the “Wandle Alphabet” that Jane and many of our volunteers have been painstakingly collecting at our community river cleanups over the past 5 years.

As usual, our A5 cards have been printed locally in the Wandle Valley, and are available this year at just £10 per pack of 8. All profits will go directly to help the work of the Wandle Trust.

You can buy your cards at our December cleanup, where limited numbers of previous years’ cards will also be available as mixed packs.
